KANEKO OPTICALjin 金子眼鏡 is an eyewear brand originated from Japan since 1958. Famed for its handcrafted manufacturing process and detail finishing, all Kaneko Optical frames are made in Sabae City in Fukui Prefecture, Japan, a region distinguished for its sophisticated eyewear production techniques at the highest level in the world.
With its factory called BACKSTAGE and its chain of directly managed stores KANEKO GANKYO, the company gets involved in everything from the planning and designing to the production and sales of eyewear, while assuring the quality of products.
Its “CRAFTSMAN SERIES”, a collection of glasses each of which bears the name of an author-craftsperson, is receiving high acclaim as a work to pass down traditional eyewear techniques to the present day.
Kaneko Optical frames are comfortable in terms of fitting, as all the frames are manufactured in Asian fitting. Aside from the fitting, some models of the frame use celluloid material, which reduces the weight of the frame, giving the wearer a more comfortable wearing experience.
